sizing for Riedell R3s

i'm thinking about investing in some skates and considering getting Riedell R3's but I'm not sure what size to go for. I'm normally a UK size 5 but I've been skating ok in size 6's. Does anyone have any R3's in either size that I could try on to see which is best?

I have some which are US 7, UK 6. I'm a size 6.

i have some r3's that are a uk 6 - you can try them to make sue they dont fit !

i normally wear a uk 5- the ridells are pretty snug. i would suggest going a size up from what you normally wear.

Maybe mine are a UK 7 then, because I couldn't fit yours on at all Quad!

would be a pain to order some and find they don't fit so would be good to try on both pairs at some point and get a comparison

I've convinced one of my colleagues to come and join us!

She's looking at R3's, can anyone tell me how the sizing comes up for these? I know I'm half a size smaller than my usual 6 in 265s, but not sure if it's the same for R3s? And if anyone has teeny feet (she's a 3-4uk!) then hopefully she could try your skates on for size?

I'm hoping she'll come up with me this Sunday or next and I hope from then on we'll both be able to start coming to one of the mid-week practices (it makes the drive so much better with someone else in the car!).

im a 6 and a half shoe/trainer uk and a uk7 in r3s :)

i wear a uk size 6 - but i normally wear a five.

dont forget there will only be a few people skating this week and next week will be a full on sparkle practice. that will be a fun one to watch . (fingers crossed dress rehearsal with music)

Regarding the size stick..

I used the stick, but I got 265s (and so did Angela) - and, like Caz, I got a half size smaller - I'm a UK 5, but my 265s are a US 5.5 (which is a UK 4.5), so I think the sizing for the 265s and the R3s is quite different... yet the size stick is the same...

My skates fit perfectly, but I fall into the 'wear em snug, never get blisters' camp, whereas some people are of the 'get em big, wear numerous socks' persuasion.

It is confusing. I may have made the confusion worse. If so, ignore me.

If you're buying from Sin City, I've found they've always been very helpful in terms of answering questions.

Visit Billys try them on, then you know they fit! FTW!

Clubblueroom! That place is awesome - they had about 30 different style of wrist guards alone, women's as well as mens!

From memory, I think R3s come up bigger than 265s because they're vinyl (so no breaking in). Which makes Darmo's sizing make sense!

Carnage - will try and get up to Billy's, problem is it's impossible during the week and unlikely on Saturday because of the distance involved (she lives in Hertford!). I think she's looking to get from everglides, with her tiny VAT-free feet and discount it'll be super cheap for her!

I go to Hertford every day to work, is there something I can help with?
